THE OPPORTUNITY
This role is accountable for the successful completion of day-to-day maintenance, inspections, and servicing of the combi-bloc filler and associated equipment systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine installations, maintenance, service, and repairs.
Performing breakdown maintenance and responding to customers' requests within specified time frames.
Providing technical support to clients and colleagues, including inspecting plant and equipment, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Handling material acquisition and inventory control.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Essential qualification in mechanical /Fitter specialty/Skilled (or equivalent trade experience) required.
Must possess excellent problem-solving skills, and good written and oral communication skills, including that of computer literacy.
Achieve superior performance while focusing on continuous improvement aimed at meeting and exceeding KPIs and excellent customer relations.
A clear ability to fault find, whilst ensuring “root cause” analysis to implement robust solutions must be demonstrated.
This position is part of an 8-member In plant team. You will be providing primary operational interface to the customer and therefore must maintain and promote a good working relationship.
Flexibility is expected within the role to maintain customer satisfaction, including but not limited to additional support for supply coverage, annual leave, sickness, and extended major service periods.
The In plant Mechanical Fitter is required to liaise with other team members across shifts and the extended national support network in addition to direct contact with the customer's engineering staff as well as with machine operators, maintenance, and quality control personnel.
Be conscientious, self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of effectively planning and controlling the utilization of their own time; they are part of a small, highly specialized team capable of handling and/or identifying problems over a wide variety of engineering fields, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical.
Keep up to date with all new combi-bloc machines and equipment developments and apply a high degree of practical and professional skill.
They are charged with the responsibility for the care and maintenance of company property, tools, manuals, service records, etc., required to fill the job function.
