Millers Gourmet Meats are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Butcher to join their team in Monto Qld 4630.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Prepare meat for wholesale and retail sale using a wide variety of processes.
- Removing bones, trimming fat, and cutting, mincing and grinding meat to shape and size as ordered.
- Prepare crumbed cuts of meat, and marinating, seasoning and curing special cuts.
- Select and prepare meat to produce smallgoods.
- Operate machines to grind, mix, mince and tenderise meat.
- Make seasonings and pickles by mixing spices, salt and other ingredients.
- Operate sausage filling machines, smoking chambers, and cooking kettles and vats.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must have 3 years’ experience as a Butcher.
- Certificate III in Meat Processing or related Qualification
- OH&S awareness.
- Food Handling and RSA certificates required.
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience.
