The ACT Strategy & Inspector Team, within the Defence, Investigations, ACT and Legal Branch is responsible for key aspects of the Offices ACT Ombudsman functions:
managing the ACT Ombudsmans strategic functions, including monitoring and analysing complaint trends, identifying systemic issues, providing policy advice, undertaking own motion investigations and strategic engagement
supporting the ACT Ombudsmans role as Inspector of the ACT Integrity Commission under the Integrity Commission Act 2018 (ACT), including monitoring and reporting on compliance, data analysis and reporting, investigating complaints, undertaking own initiative investigations and making recommendations
supporting the ACT Ombudsmans role as part of the ACTs multibody National Preventive Mechanism (NPM) under the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture (OPCAT).
