Salary: $75,000 plus 11.5 % superannuation
Our client, JD Concrete Pty Ltd., Sydney’s leading civil construction company working primarily in the Sydney region, is currently looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join its team. The client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to join a dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural drafting and design, with the ability to create precise and detailed drawings that meet our high standards. This role is crucial to ensuring our projects are executed flawlessly from concept to completion.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Draftsperson who has had industry experience in supporting, documenting, and delivering exceptional projects.
The Architectural Draftsperson will assist in transforming project concepts into practical architectural designs. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of professionals to develop, document, and ensure compliance with all planning and building standards, while also focusing on sustainability and client satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum three years’ or more experience in architectural drafting, preferably in a construction environment.
In this role your main responsibilities include:
• Produce detailed architectural drawings, blueprints, and plans using CAD software.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure designs meet specifications and project requirements
• Engage and coordinate required consultants, including planning, engineer and sustainability consultants
• Coordinate projects in all stages from design development through to construction administration
• Modify existing designs to incorporate changes and enhancements as requested by clients
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
• Conduct site visits to address concerns and inquiries during the construction phase including inspecting work and materials to ensure specifications, regulations and standards and compliant
• Maintain accurate records of all drawings and design documents
• Work in collaboration with Architects
Other key skills and experience will include:
• Broad documentation knowledge across a diverse range of residential and commercial projects
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction methods.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.
• Ability to prepare working drawing, specifications and preliminary sketches
• Experience in coordinating consultants & authorities
• Experience and understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and necessary requirements for safety, health & amenity and sustainability in the design & construction of new buildings
• The ability of working both autonomously and within a team environment
