The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic Housekeeping and Duty Manager to oversee our Housekeeping Department and assist in Front Office at Mount Lofty House. Reporting to our Rooms Division Manager, you will be the driving force behind our team's success! This role requires an extraordinary attention to detail and care to deliver remarkable experiences for all our guests.
Our Housekeeping and Duty Manager will have direct responsibility for:
• Managing the team in the Manager’s absence to deliver our guest experience - arrival through to departure.
• Undertaking check-ins and check-outs of guests, reservations, quality checks and up-selling.
• Making bookings for restaurant, day spa and activities for all guests.
• Management of guest, travel agent accounts.
• Training, supporting and developing an energetic team.
• Delivering memorable experiences.
• Providing incredible, extraordinary, customer service.
• Assisting the team across the estate as and when required.
• Support and coordinate our housekeeping team's daily activities, ensuring a smooth work flow
• Daily checking of rooms and estate areas to maintain high cleanliness standards
• Foster team motivation and growth by providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
• Preparation of rosters, ensuring that suitable and cost-effective employee levels are maintained at all times.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• At least 1 year managing a team in a similar role
• Duty Manager expertise is preferred
• Hotel, resort, accommodation experience preferred
• PMS knowledge & POS
• Great communication skills, solution-focused approach
• Impeccable grooming and personal presentation standards
• A passion for hospitality, guest satisfaction and success
• Ensuring an impeccable clean suite for all our guests
• Anticipating guest needs
• Ultimately providing incredible, extraordinary, customer service
