ROLE CONTEXT
We are seeking applications to appoint a machinist to maintain tool room items. The successful applicant must possess the following;
Trade qualified and 3 years of machining experience.
Able to interpret drawings and accurately measure machined components.
Display a strong commitment to safety.
Desire to consistently produce quality components to high standard.
A forklift licence would be an advantage to the role.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
The Machinist will be required to carry out the following activities:
Tool and cutter grinder sharpening of form tools
Manufacture and repair rougher tooling for grooving.
Sharpen drills and an assortment of HSS tools.
Repair and change cartridges in large turning tools.
Modify tap shanks.
Machining small one-off jobs in small lathe, mill and radial arm drill.
Modify and maintain specialist tooling.
Perform calibration checks and repair micrometres.
