Our client is a state-of-the-art injection moulding facility, now seeking an Injection Moulding Technician/Die Setter for its production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for die-setting moulding machines, trouble shooting, and optimizing moulds/tools, performing checks and readjustments of machines, as necessary. The candidate will also be responsible for machine maintenance, technical fault finding, and correcting faults.
Experience highly sought, however, training will be provided for person with techncial background.
Requirements:
Relevant Trade qualifications and plastics experience preferred.
Understanding of how to conduct tool trials.
Proven experience with moulding and machine robots.
Understand systematic approach to die trials.
Previous experience with a manufacturing execution system (MES)
Proven record of mechanical aptitude
Patient, with attention to detail, able to work methodically, accurately, neatly, and efficiently.
Good verbal and written skills, understanding of OH & S laws to run equipment safely.
The ability to influence outcomes and be a solid team member.
Ability to lead a team.
A "can do" and "hands on" proactive attitude.
Reliable, a team player, strong work ethic, able to work autonomously.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of moulds and their set up.
Die-setting moulding machines including start-ups and shutdowns and working with machine Robots.
Confident tool changing ability, trouble shooting, and optimizing moulds/tools, performing checks and readjustment of machines as necessary.
A quick response to breakdowns, technical fault finding, and correcting faults and machine maintenance.
Understanding of various commodity and engineering ploymers.
