We are looking for to hire experienced social worker for a Coordinator – Northern Region position in Brookvale who shares our values, provides an excellent customer experience, and have a genuine passion for the youth support sector. This is a full-time position with annual remuneration package of between $90,000- $110,000 per year depending on individual skills and experience.
The Coordinator role is responsible for the implementation of services to ensure quality outcomes for children and young people. The role will provide leadership to a team of Case Managers and Team Leaders in the Northern Sydney region, to ensure the homes are operationally sound, sufficiently staffed, and provide an engaging, safe living environment for the young people. They will also support the Case Managers to ensure their case management is meaningful and contributes to the young person’s ability and life skills overall
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure Team Leaders are providing a safe, compliant, and homelike environment for the young person
• Ensure Case Managers are creating case plans that are compliant with standards and contribute to the young person’s ability and life skills overall
• Proactively develop plans and strategies to ensure risk and compliance requirements are met
• Offer support to the specific Regional Manager in fulfilling the duties of the role where reasonable and practical to do so
• Provide support to Team Leaders in understanding their workforce budgets and adjust resourcing to align to needs
• Provide ongoing learning and development to Team Leaders and Case Managers to continually improve practice
• Identify, lead and develop productive community stakeholder relationships that provide support and services to young person
• Act as a key role model and change champion; guiding, supporting and reinforcing Burdekin’s integrated team approach and working partnership between direct Service Delivery and Case Management.
Skills/Experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services or similar
• A minimum 5 years experience working in the Community Services Sector –specifically Out of Home Care (OOHC) and/or disability (NDIS)
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team
• Experience working with children and young people
• Ability to participate in an on call roster
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders internally and externally.
• High level interpersonal, conflict resolution, assessment and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated capacity to deal with complexity in an organization.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload to meet timeframes and job-related expectations.
