This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises 295 guest rooms, suites and villas.

Department
The Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitality Manager reporting directly to the Hotel Manager.

Job Description
Hospitality Manager’s responsibilities include and are not limited to:
• Initiates the implementation of Front Office Standards & Procedures
• Provide exceptional service to guests.
• Purchase stock/inventory according to purchasing procedures
• Manage and maximize occupancy, revenue, and average rate while maintaining high service standards via the upselling programs within the department
• Ensure that the arrival and departure experience is managed efficiently, promptly and courteously
• Participate in the preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plan.
• Prepare monthly outlook/forecast reports.
• Conduct development and performance reviews, identifying key personnel for further development and structured career paths.
• Prepare work schedules and annual leave schedules within budget, business expectations
• Oversee the selection and appointment of new associates within the department.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to keep all associates informed.
• Preferred applicants will have valid working rights to work in Australia. Sponsorship will not be available for this position.
To be successful in this position you will need to possess the following minimum requirements:
• In possession of Hospitality qualification or equivalent
• Previous work experience in a managerial role within Front Office
• Having an outgoing personality and passion for the industry
• Excellent communication
• Strong Leadership skills

Salary $73,000 - $85,000
