The Actuarial Analytics section is currently engaged in the development of many strategic projects, which are high-profile and high-value to the Department. The team uses longitudinal data and advanced analytics across an array of predictive modelling and free text analytics projects. Working collaboratively with the Australian Government Actuary (AGA), various service providers and experts, we analyse and interpret actuarial results to support evidence-based policy development. The team leverages comprehensive, veteran-centric data to understand the lifetime trajectories of clients, and to evaluate the effectiveness of new policies in improving financial and social outcomes. The team also uses information to identify specific cohorts who may benefit from early interventions to help inform targeted services and government funding. Duties
