We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and/or experienced Irrigationist to join our “growing” team at our Boisdale operations in Gippsland, Victoria. Task & Responsibilities The core responsibility of the Irrigationist is to manage the irrigation requirements for the Boisdale location. Daily responsibilities include: Implement, monitor and adjust irrigation schedules to maximize water efficiency and minimize runoff. Conducting regular inspections and troubleshooting issues with irrigation systems. Collaborating with planting and harvesting teams to ensure irrigation meets specific requirements. Keeping records of irrigation activities, including water usage and system maintenance. Ensuring compliance with water usage regulations and environmental standards. Determine future system requirements and maintenance and supervise any installations. Qualification & Experience To qualify for further consideration, you will need to demonstrate a genuine passion for the industry, a solid, relevant, working history and the below skills and attributes: At least a relevant AQF Cert II or equivalent AND at least one (1) year (20+hpw) relevant post qualifications experience OR have at least two (2) years (38+hpw) relevant experience Exposure to and/or experience in all responsibilities shown above. Strong knowledge of irrigation principles, practices, and equipment. Proficiency in using irrigation tools and equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Must be available on a fulltime basis and flexible to work extended hours as/if required during peak seasons.
