Our client’s establishment in based at Kyogle NSW. They are currently seeking qualified Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Fitter to join their team.
The responsibility of this role is:
• Providing repair and maintenance services to mobile plant and equipment within and around our farm.
• Servicing and repairs to Motors, mechanical equipment mobile plant.
• Observe safety procedures and maintain safety and WHS standards and requirements.
• Have a strong preventative approach to breakdown maintenance
• Reading and interpreting of parts manuals and service diagrams
• Contribute to improving systems, procedures, and maintenance
• Optimise the performance of all equipment on a daily basis
• Understand the urgent nature of the business and manage competing priorities
• Be able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Communicate with contractors and department Supervisors regarding reliable maintenance of plant
• Continuous improvement of plant and equipment
• Monitor, follow up and address all maintenance tasks

About you:
• Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Mechanical trade or Engineering minimum
• Experience in Diesel fitting or maintenance mechanic role: highly regarded experience in farm or manufacturing environment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Self-starter
• Willing to be vaccinated against Q-Fever
