We are seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer with a strong mechanical design background to lead our product development efforts from concept to mass production. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in product design, preferably with knowledge of LED lighting products, associated electrical components, and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in SolidWorks and supervisory experience are essential, as you will be managing one subordinate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of new products from concept through to mass production.
- Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed mechanical designs and drawings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Oversee the design of diecast, plastic, and extruded aluminium components.
- Manage and mentor a junior design engineer, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
- Conduct design reviews, provide technical support, and resolve any design-related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our products remain at the forefront of innovation.
- Apply knowledge of optical design, if available, to enhance product performance.
