About the role:
Transmax has grown significantly over the last 2 years, and we are not slowing down! We’re in the next exciting stage of our growth phase which is why we are now recruiting for a Release Product Manager.
The role of Release Product Manager is to be product focused, rather than project focused, and act as the point of reference for all major and minor software releases. You will coordinate scheduling, planning, stabilisation, packaging, and the release to Professional Services, of software which may consist of multiple projects or programmes of work.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Plan and manage Major Releases, Minor Releases and Critical on Demand Updates.
- Develop and maintain release schedules using input from Product Managers, Project Managers, Deployment Managers.
- Regularly report progress and develop Release Checklists ensuring all necessary tasks including quality and testing are met against release deadlines.
- Manage the creation of release documentation to accompany all packaged releases and facilitate handover of releases to appropriate Product teams.
- Continually work towards making and documenting improvements to the release process.
- Keep up to date with new methodologies and tools for software release and configuration management.
- Provide supporting scrum product owner assistance to the Senior Product Manager.
You will be a degree qualified professional Engineering, Information Technology (or equivalent, proven experience in the field of business and systems integration) and be experienced working within a software-as-a-service product environment.
A natural team player you will display excellent communication skills as well as demonstrable ability to work collaboratively in a team environment across Agile based Scrum teams.
Your toolkit for success:
- Exposure to working in project delivery roles including experience working with closely with customers.
- Demonstrable understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Experience working within teams comprising of project managers, software developers, systems and infrastructure engineers and technical support staff.
- Ideally experience with a combination of the following; Confluence, Jira, Git, Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Project and related collaborative document management using SharePoint.
- Experience with Intelligent Traffic System (ITS) industry experience would be highly advantageous but not essential.
