Job Summary:
A Junior Supply Chain Executive is a professional who supports the supply chain management process within an organization. This role involves various tasks aimed at ensuring the efficient flow of goods, services, and information from suppliers to customers. Here are some key responsibilities, skills, and qualifications typically associated with this role
The successful candidate must be operationally hands-on, organized, highly motivated and able to work with a disciplined approach towards people and work.
What a typical day looks like:
- Coordinate and arrange shipments for local and international orders.
- Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists,
- and certificates of origin.
- Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with freight forwarders and logistics providers to resolve any issues
- that arise during transportation.
- Support Senior Exec to manage and maintain accurate records of local stock materials.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Support to monitor order status and update relevant stakeholders on any delays or issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase orders and supplier communications.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve any material rejection issues.
- Maintain records of rejected materials and actions taken to resolve issues.
- Liaise with internal departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure
- materials meet required specifications.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Provide support to the Supply Chain Manager and other team members as needed
Expected skills needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a supply chain, logistics, or inventory management role is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
