What you'll do
Assist supervision and training for Apprentices to allow them to perform their work safely
Completing maintenance jobs to the satisfaction of internal customers including but not limited to:
Marking up and updating drawings of electrical circuits
Removing or installing pieces of equipment
Performing online preventative maintenance inspections of machinery
Fault finding and diagnosing break downs on machinery
Replacing sensors, limit switches, checking/changing PLC code, checking drive parameters
Changing out any electrical components including items such as motors, cables, plugs, switches, sensors, lights, etc
Carrying out minor tasks outside of scope of role, such as assisting fitter or operators as required – this goes for any support person
Resetting overloads on equipment and investigating the cause of repeat overloads
Replacing electrical circuitry (e.g. wiring, contactors, fuses, relays, etc.) as required inside electrical panels
Completing safety forms such as JSA or CTW
Assisting with identifying and implementing plant performance improvement opportunities
Ensure that James Hardie’s operations are in line with Work Health and Safety Requirements
Complying with any reasonable request related to health and safety including attending health and safety related training, participating in health and safety initiatives / activities and ensuring that either your acts or omissions do not place any person at risk
What you'll bring
Electrical Trade Certificate or equivalent or higher qualification
Minimum of 5 years experience in a industrial manufacturing environment
Experience with industrial control systems such as PLC’s, specifically for diagnostic problem solving
Commitment to personal safety through following James Hardie’s safety vision.
Good problem solving skills
Ability to work as part of a wider team to ensure the ongoing safety and reliable operation of the factory.
Passion and dedication for reliability and maintainability within a large manufacturing environment operating 24/7
Good written and verbal communication skills
