About the Role
As a Managing Principal you share accountability for the day to day running of the business, the development of our people and the delivery of our strategy. Within this you are responsible for the delivery of the product lines, projects and people you lead. Accountable for overall growth, whilst responsible for your own portfolio of current and new clients.
You are also responsible for ensuring the business is globally recognised as the go to partner for leaders with an eye on their operations and our clients love working with us because of you!
The primary role of a Managing Principal will be to lead teams engaged with clients in a business improvement project using a combination of the Argon & Co methodologies and tools, creative thinking and good business practice.
Projects vary in size and duration but typically last between 12 and 30 weeks with a team of 2-5 individuals. Managing Principals will frequently spend 2-4 days each week on the clients site, training and development time is allocated within this.
A Managing Principal is responsible for widening their own skill set. This may include one-on-one mentoring meetings, group training sessions, and “shadowing” of more senior members of the project team, with the aim of improving the skills and abilities required to serve clients excellently.
A Managing Principal is responsible for becoming highly familiar with all Argon & Co materials available. They work with clients to identify improvements, additions, corrections, or clarifications to the materials provided.
Managing Principals play a role in sales and networking by identifying and communicating opportunities for repeat business and for supporting the development of new prospects.
You will be a member of the leadership team, be eligible to participate in company Short-Term Incentive (STIP) and Long-Term Incentive (LTIP) programmes.
Candidate Requirements
• Degree in Engineering, Business Studies, Economics, Sciences, or another numerate / analytical degree
• Ideally, 10+ years of consulting experience and/or industry experience.
• Strong supply chain / operations experience having previously delivered supply chain or operations work at a senior level.
• Strong ability to lead end-to-end transformation deliveries, manage project teams and maintain the client relationship across multiple assignments.
• Depth of experience delivering proposals and selling projects. Ability to maintain and grow a network of contacts.
• Strong experience in at least one of these areas operations, planning, logistics, procurement, engineering, or manufacturing.
• Shapes and leads large, complex assignments and accounts.
