The Defence Abuse team administers the Offices Restorative Engagement Program. This includes coordinating the restorative engagement conference process, which involves communicating with reportees who have experienced abuse, Defence Force representatives, and professional restorative engagement facilitators in order to arrange a psychologically safe environment and a positive restorative engagement process.
Duties are to be performed under broad direction of your supervisor and in accordance with the APS Code of Conduct, upholding the APS Values and upholding the office values of independence, impartiality, integrity, accessibility and professionalism.

The Conference Officer will:
Arrange restorative engagement conferences by preparing and liaising with stakeholders ensuring they have appropriate, accurate and up-to-date information using trauma informed principles.
Analyse information and identify potential risks to case manage participants engagement in the program.
