About the role:
We are currently seeking a part-time Peer Support Worker to join our team in Emerald. Our Peer Support Worker will share the learnings and wisdom of a personal lived experience (mental health issue) to inspire hope for recovery. They will develop groups to build personal connections and life skills and support people to restore, maintain and develop relationships.
What will a typical day look like?
Effectively and appropriately hold crucial conversations with people who access our services to connect, support and build mutual understanding, trust, and shared experience.
Develop groups to reduce social isolation and build capacity.
Effectively support people who access our services to build their own hope.
