Position Overview A legal associate assists a Division 1 judge with Family Law matters.Legal associates assist with summarising evidence and arguments, researching cases and points of law, preparing matters for hearing, assisting in the preparation of judgments, and other related matters for judges hearing matters at first instance and on appeal. Legal associates are responsible for providing assistance to judges during court hearings and other administrative support to judges, as required. Legal associates primarily provide assistance to designated judges but may be asked to assist other judges or judicial officers if the need arises. Some travel may be required.
