Epworth Freemasons (East Melbourne) seeks an experienced Bookings Officer in a full time capacity.
Reporting into the Patient Services Team Leader, this role will be responsible for the management of surgical and medical bookings into the patient management system.
You will be required to work closely with clinical staff to ensure accuracy of the bookings to the Theatre Module to assist with planning. You will have a high level of understanding of health fund validation and the admission process to the hospital, and will assist patients, visitors, medical specialists with admission and discharge related enquiries.
This role supports the Business Officers within the team and incorporates the administrative processing of patients prior to admission to hospital including registering patients on the hospital’s patient management system and scheduling of patient attendance.
You will provide excellent customer service both via telephone and in person and will play an active role in ensuring enquiries are answered and resolved in a professional and customer-centred manner.
In this role you will liaise closely with doctors, secretaries, and patients, responding promptly to bookings enquiries, requests and general administrative duties.
