Shannon Outboard Service are seeking a full-time trade qualified automotive or marine mechanic with a substantial level of experience. Your daily responsibilities will include:
· Trailer work, hydraulic brakes, suspension wheel bearings & brakes (automotive trade certificate required)
· Engine service & repairs
· Perform major service & repair to all types of engines, Stern Drives & MerCruiser
· Diagnose engine & electrical problems
· Engine re-powers, fit ups and testing on all brands of marine product (incl. fish finders/plotters/stereos & all marine electronics)
What you need to thrive in this job:
· A recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification
· Extensive experience in working all types of engines
· Trailer work including hydraulic brakes, suspension wheel bearings & lights
· Able to fit electronics & accessories & perform basic electrical work
· Excellent engine diagnosis skills
· Sound computer skills
· High attention to detail
· Have a strong work ethic
· Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
· Respectful and reliable
