Role:
Provide a range of health services from prevention of illness through to treatment and rehabilitation
The position requires consultation with other health professional as required and coordinating the ongoing care
Medical diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases endocrine and metabolic, renal diseases, diseases of the central nervous system
Surgical procedure – suturing lacerations, incision and drainage of abscess, excision of skin lesions
Obstetrics and Gynaecology – contraception, pap smears, antenatal care
Procedural tasks – Vaccination, ECG interpretation, pulmonary, audiometry.
Orthopaedic – assessment of bony and soft tissue conditions with treatment rehabilitation as appropriate
Documentation –medico legal, antenatal, insurance, occupational
Should be familiar with assessment and management of medical emergencies and common conditions presenting in the Australian General Practice setting
Ability to read ECG, CT Scans, X-ray and skills of annulation, intubation, catheterisation and fluid management are important
Benefits and perks
The GP will be incharge of his patient billing and share revenue ranging between 50-70% depending on experience and qualification. The successful applicant can expect to have a minimum guaranteed income of anything between $100000 to $140000 plus commissions (depending on experience) as his income from the billings.
