This role is responsible for the provision of Fixed & Mobile Plant Fitter services as per Industry standards. The accountability for this role is to Understand and adhere to fundamental blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written guidelines or procedures to precisely produce and assemble necessary parts, equipment, and products.
The duties of this role include:
Technical
Utilize various machine shop tools, which may include but not limited to lathes, mills, drill press, CNC equipment, press, grinding equipment, gear and thread cutting equipment.
Fabricate, position, and align parts for products.
Assemble parts into products, including tools, machinery, and machine components. Relating to Fixed & Mobile Plant.
Install Fixed & Mobile Plant equipment both on-site and off-site.
Inspect various components such as motors, drives, conveyors, belts, bearings, etc.
Diagnose and repair Fixed & Mobile Plant equipment faults.
Communicate with others, including the Workshop/Project Manager, management, and clients as necessary.
Carry out scheduled maintenance checks on Fixed & Mobile Plant.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and callouts, including those outside of regular work hours.
Order materials when they are not available in stock.
Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks to ensure the product meets quality standards.
Identify product defects and fill out the appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products in accordance with changes to engineering specifications.
Section B: Experience/Qualifications
Experience in a similar industry.
2 years+ of experience in machine maintenance, including Fixed & Mobile Plant.
Familiarity with design documents for advanced manufacturing.
