Government organisation in Ipswich seeking GIS Solution Architect Your new company
A leading and crucial government organisation that underpins the lives of thousands across the region are seeking a GIS Solution Architect in Ipswich to work on the rollout of a new spatial platform!
Your new role
Your new role will see you work within the small but dedicated multi-disciplinary Spatial Technology Team lead by the Spatial Program Manager. This teams aim is to work on the upgrade, enhancement and rollout of a new key ArcGIS platform throughout the organisation and the Ipswich region! Specifically, this organisation is seeking to deploy ArcGIS Enterprise within a cloud-based environment (AWS) which includes the migration of key data assets.
As this team's GIS Solution Architect, you will support this initiative by providing technical oversight throughout the program. This will include the road mapping, design, architecting, implementation, integration, auditing and the reviewing of technical solutions to be deployed.
Not limited to just the GIS/Spatial ecosystem, these duties will also be applied to the organisations new spatial database including database design, data migration, development of data models and data integration amongst others.
Aside from the technical duties of this role, you will also be tasked with establishing best practice frameworks, configuration, and processes to be adhered to throughout the program. In conjunction with this, as a trusted advisor to the organisation you will have the opportunity to identify improvement opportunities alongside being able to provide input to the organisations assets and spatial strategic objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience/knowledge across (in no particular order) the following:
ArcGIS and its eco system (ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online)
ArcGIS API's and Python
The wider Esri product suite
Cloud technologies (AWS and/or Azure)
Implementing/enabling spatial systems (MapInfo, Geocortex, Esri, Hexagon, Oracle spatial)
Working with individuals across all levels of an organisation
Clear and perfect communication skills (both spoken and written)
Full Australian working rights
Currently residing in ANZ (those outside will not be considered)
