Automation Engineer
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Lead the implementation and support of Aveva MES, Honeywell MES applications, including Operations.
2. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and design cost-effective solutions.
3. Develop and maintain corporate standards for applications development using standard programming languages and methodologies.
4. Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to MES applications, ensuring data quality and integration with systems such as LIMS and SAP MII.
5. Provide training and documentation to end users and IT staff on MES applications and best practices.
6. Hands-on troubleshooting and services of SCADA applications such as Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Ignition, ADMS, Wonderware System Platform, Skelta Workflow, AVEVA Work Task application.
7. Develop System Platform applications for Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) SCADA applications.
Skills
1. Experience with communication protocols including IEC104, MODBUS/MODBUS TCP, OPC, ICCP, SNMP, and SMTP.
2. Perform Grid/Solar/Wind Plant performance monitoring, support, and troubleshooting.
3. Analyze key performance indicators and graphics performance indicators for reporting purposes.
4. Execute ADMS functionalities such as Load Flow Analysis, State Estimation, Topology Analyzer, Network Re-Configuration, and Performance Indices.
5. Implement OMS functionalities including FLISR (Fault Location, Isolation, and Supply Restoration) and Work Order Management.
6. Coordinate with vendors for quality control and resolution of quality issues related to automation systems.
7. Familiarity with Electrical SCADA (EMS, ISO, OMS, OHSAS), Schneider ADMS (Substation & Feeder Automation).
8. Perform preventive, breakdown maintenance, and total productive maintenance.
9. Conduct breakdown analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
10. Knowledge of Water SCADA (Wonderware), Unity Pro PLC, and project management practices.
11. Participate in testing and commissioning activities for FRTU (Feeder Remote Terminal Unit) and RTU (Remote Terminal Unit).
12. Test DMS functionalities in real-time and simulation modes to optimize grid operations.
