SunPork Consolidated Pty Ltd requires an Agricultural Engineering Technologist (Feedmill) to directly support the Feedmill Operations Manager at the Lundavra Feedmill.

Responsibilities, tasks, and duties

The purpose of the position is to assist, analyse, advise, and modify FeedMill engineering technologies and processes related to pre-production, production, stock control, storage and weighbridge functionality and operation. The position requires ongoing testing and implementation of FeedMill engineering and production technologies to support smooth and efficient production at all times.

The position will strive to implement, modify, and improve FeedMill engineering technologies which directly supports standard operating procedures (SOPs) and management systems in which high quality and sustainable milled feed output is achieved through analysis and control of biological, chemical, and physical hazards from raw material production, procurement, stock control and handling, storage, and consumption of milled product.

Tasks and duties include:

· Apply engineering principles and technology to agricultural FeedMill operations, problems, and issues;

· Implement and administer basic tests to assist process control and record outcomes;

· Analyse, develop, modify, and implement the latest best practice feed milling technologies to support standard operating procedures and output;

· Analyse, advise and assist Feedmill Operations Manager on engineering technology equipment and systems utilised in FeedMill operations including;

· stock control systems for raw materials input, additives, vitamins, supplements;

· quality control/assurance;

· weighbridge system and operation;

· batch weighing;

· automated feed milling control system;

· batching FeedMill automation;

· grinding FeedMill automation;

· custom FeedMill controls;

· FeedMill automation - receiving and transfer;

· premix systems;

· bulk bag resupply of batching system;

· feed batching using bulk bags;

· loadout feedmill automation;

· pellet press control;

· pellet FeedMill automation;

· finished product storage, storage protocols and systems including silo telemetry via internet/intranet;

· Monitor, analyse and weekly reporting on raw material stock/inventory, usage and production information and documentation;

· Monitor, analyse and ensure FeedMill weighbridge equipment and technology is functional and accurate including calibration of weighbridge systems;

· Analyse and advise on set-up, calibration, and supervision of production machinery and equipment and perform modi?cations, adjustments and maintenance where required;

· Observe and obey all Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Health and Safety legislation, regulations, rules, by-laws;

· Exercise good time management skills and be able to work alone unsupervised;

· Exercise strong attention to detail;

· Always adopt polite and effective work practices to maintain an efficient, clean, and tidy environment for all staff and visitors; and

· Any other tasks or duties assigned by your manager that are within your skill set and/or expertise.

Skill and quali?cation requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, mechanical or process engineering or related discipline;

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial Feedmill operations, process, or technology;

· Ability to analyse and interpret data and information;

· Good written and verbal communication skills and ability;

· Ability to work under pressure and deadlines;

· Ability to work as part of a team and achieve targets and deadlines;

· Quality assurance and control;

· HAACP;

· Biosecurity;

· MS O?ce software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Pay: $73,200.00 – $75,000.00 per year
