Priding ourselves on being one of Sydney's most popular artisan bakeries, offering a fresh seasonal menu featuring European and Mediterranean influenced dishes, The Trustee For Reg Randwick Unit Trust t/as Bake Bar have locations across Sydney including Randwick, Rose Bay and Double Bay and we are actively recruiting for all locations. We currently seek a full-time (38hr/wk) Baker.
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Daily routine check for hygiene and cleanliness of premises and overseeing team members to ensure the pre-production health and safety regulations of the bakery are being strictly followed
• Checking the weight machines and other baking equipment
• Operating dough mixing machine, ball cutting machine, baking oven and dishwasher
• Checking the quality of the raw ingredient
• Preparing dough and pastries by mixing, kneading, cutting and moulding the dough and producing the pastry fillings from raw ingredients
• Baking raw products by using the baking oven and overseeing the timing, appearance and temperature of the product
• Making different kind of pastries by glazing buns and icing cakes
• Ensuring cleanliness of the bakery at the end of each day and ensuring all baking equipment is clean and that all health and safety regulations are followed.
Required skills and attributes:
* A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate IV or an AQF Certificate III plus 2 years of relevant experience, or alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Baker in lieu of any formal qualification(s)
* Ability to multi-task and work in a high pressure environment
* Strong communication skills
Salary: $73,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation
