About you
They are looking for a highly motivated Strategy & Business Development Director to join their team.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and execute strategic plans for our regulatory product lines, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• This includes becoming SME for EMIR, SFTR, ASIC as existing services.
• Building out a strategic plan for all other G20 regimes plus MiFID / MiFIR
• Preparing regulatory updates for our internal team and clients to educate on upcoming regulations and changes to existing regulations.
• Investigate other potential applications of our clients software to solve for regulatory challenges the fund management industry faces – Annex IV, Form PF, Solvency II, etc.
• Work with Product, Client Solutions and Tech teams to configure solutions in on the Fund Recs platform.
• Collaborate with clients and prospects to understand their needs or challenges and deliver solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for product-related inquiries and demonstrations for regulatory solutions.
• Maintain an understanding of the market and regulatory landscape, ensuring our client remain best in class and identifying opportunities our client to offer new solutions
• Engage with regulators in relevant jurisdictions to understand requirements and develop a working relationship.
• Support business meet revenue objectives through leading demos, POC’s etc related to reg products
• Become the Fund Recs SME in the Australian market through publishing thought leadership and insights, availing of speaking opportunities and engaging with industry.
• Become the senior point of contact for clients locally in Australia while building the Fund Recs brand and creating awareness of our products.
• Support Sales and Account Management activities locally.
• Complete some business development and account management tasks locally.
Skills and Experience
• SaaS and/or FinTech/financial services product experience, ideally in a leadership role
• 3rd level degree in business or a related field
• Strong understanding of key regulations affecting the asset management industry such as EMIR, SFTR, MiFID/MiFIR, and other international regulatory frameworks. Ability to interpret and apply these regulations in a business context.
• Proven track record in managing and developing products, particularly software solutions tailored to regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and interpret regulatory text
