Re-Boot IT Solutions, Townsville is looking for a full time IT Hardware Technician to join our growing team. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred. Any computer troubleshooting skills or experience repairing computers is essential.
The role requires a well organised individual with good communication skills to fix problems in-store and onsite that may include software, hardware and networking issues.
The successful applicant will also need to be able to work unsupervised. Technical training is provided, but the successful applicant will need to bring their own problem solving skills and self motivation to this role.
You will possess the following Skills / Experience:
• A minimum of four years experience in a similar role.
• Ability to diagnose and repair any hardware faults on; PC Desktops & Laptops, All-In-One PC's, iMac and MacBook Laptops
• Ability to diagnose and repair any software issues including; Viruses, Spyware and Malware ,Microsoft Office especially Outlook. MYOB & Quicken products. Windows XP to Windows 11 and MAC OSX
• Can fix mobile phones, tablets and gaming consoles is preferred however not essential
• Networking diagnostics and repairs including; Diagnosis of internet connectivity issues, Setup of Modem/Router, Wifi Extenders, Network Printers and setup of Shared Folders & Mapped Drives
• Customer Service Skills are also a critical part of this role.
• Organisational Skills are also key for any successful applicant and you must be able to; follow policies and procedures, manage bookings & meetings in a punctual manner, manage ongoing tasks and track their progress daily.
• Valid Drivers License
• The successful applicant will also need to demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills and research skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Virus, Spyware, Malware Removal
• Format Reinstall of Windows & MAC OSX computers.
• System Restores of Windows and MAC OSX computers.
• Setup of Network Printers & Scanners
• Setup of Shared Media & Mapped Drives
• Setup of Modem Equipment including Wi-fi Routers
• Hardware Testing of Power Supply, RAM, HDD & CPU
• Upgrading of Hardware on Desktop PC and Laptops
• Setup of Office 365, Email configuration and testing
• Low level Data recovery
• Replacement of Laptop Parts
• Setting up local and Cloud Backup Solutions
• Setting up IMAP emails on Windows, Android and MAC devices
