What you’ll be doing
• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional Agile team.
• Participate in all aspects of the Data solution delivery life cycle including analysis, estimation, design, development, Testing, production deployment, and support. Build self-monitoring, robust, scalable interfaces and data pipelines using. Cloud technologies provisioned via Infrastructure as Code, that is managed in a code repository.
• Develop standardized practices for delivering new products and capabilities, including data acquisition, transformation, Persistence and analysis.
• Ensure Data practices integrate into overall data architectures and data management principles (e.g., data governance, Data security, metadata, data quality). Create highly reusable code modules and packages that can be leveraged across the data pipeline.
• Contribute to our data dictionary for published data sources.
• Create and manage data sources and integrate with diverse APIs. Build efficient storage for structured and unstructured data. Develop and tune processes to ensure optimal performance and reliability whilst maintaining data integrity.
• Lead the execution of assigned development work to improve the quality, reliability, flexibility and performance of current and future Origin deliverables.
• Implement monitoring processes to automate the detection and resolution of errors.
• Provide post-implementation support, responds to problem quickly and provide both short- and long-term resolutions.
• Profile data to measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness.
• Experience with Matillion ETL tool essential.

What will make you successful in this role?

Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related.
• 6+ years of experience working in data analytics roles.
• Understanding of Agile principles and practices.
• Experience with Matillion ETL tool.
• A proven track record of architecting, designing, and implementing data pipelines and related operations on cloud-based platforms.
• Scripting and/or development experience and knowledge of development principles.
• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, version control and peer review processes.
• Strong SQL background, with a capability to write efficient and maintainable SQL, with a performance mindset, and collaborate/review other team members ‘work.
• Exposure to cloud-based Data Warehouse services such as Snowflake or AWS Redshift.
• Proficient in designing efficient and robust ETL workflows on cloud-based platforms.
• Development using languages such as Java, Python, Scala, NodeJS.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems on large datasets.
Desirable
• Development experience using AWS serverless services such as Lambda, API gateway, S3 and SQS
• Deployment experience using docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with IOT Data, Databricks, NoSQL database (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB), and streaming technologies such as Kafka or Kinesis
• Oil and Gas industry exposure
• Development experience and understanding of streaming technologies such as Kafka and Kinesis Streams.
• Experience and understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures, Machine Learning, and BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
