We are looking for a Material Engineer with experience in welding inspection and Structural Mechanical Pumping (SMP) to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading welding projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Review QA documentation, ITPs, MDR.
• Supervise a team of welders.
• Plan and organise the development of efficient and high-productivity welding procedures according to AS/NZS 1554, AS 3992, ASME VIII, AWS D.1.1.
• Review welding procedures, processes, and related documentation.
• Monitoring welding parameters as per applicable welding procedures.
• Develop welding procedures to meet manufacturing and welding projects.
• Develop weld map for pipelines.
• Work in accordance with RMS welding specifications.
• Conduct failure and cause analyses on welding issues.
• Collaborate with inspectors and project QA managers.
• Perform detailed documentation to track project development and the design process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in an engineering field, preferably welding or materials engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience working in the Engineering industry.
• Experience in cathodic protection in pipelines.
• Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using CAD software.
• Experience in coordinating and supervising tasks.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for Work Health and Safety
