We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Developer specialising in contact centre solutions. The candidate will be responsible for the technical design and development of solutions for Synergy’s customer base. This encompasses implementation, post-implementation and support activities.
This is a full-time on-site role located in Sydney, Australia. Applicants must reside in Sydney, Australia.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with internal and external teams to design, develop and deliver technical components of Synergy’s solution offerings.
This includes:
• Conduct technical discovery workshops and client presentations
• Manage all aspects of the software development life cycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Develop system specifications, software code and documentation, including SIT and UAT documents, change requests and fault reports.
• Ensure technical documents (or the technical components of documents covering various topics) are completed in a professional and comprehensive manner. Examples include solution design documents; code documentation; and post-incident review documents.
• Work with the Synergy management team to focus on continuous improvements to business and technology strategies, systems, and solutions, with a specific focus on pre-sales and delivery activities.
• Collaboration with other Synergy stakeholders and departments as required. Examples may include requesting a support resource to assist with testing a new system/feature/function); aiding on an escalated support ticket and working with the Synergy Key Account Manager to assess platform usage and expansion opportunities within customer accounts.
• Assist the Synergy operations team with escalated support tickets and training on custom and/or complex components of customer solutions that they are required to support.
• Other duties as required.
Desired qualifications, experience and skills
• Degree qualification in IT / Computer Science / Engineering (required)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and PHP.
• Extensive experience with web development frameworks including ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJs, and others.
• Base-level cloud computing certifications in AWS/Azure/Google
• 5+ years’ technical contact centre experience with call/interaction flow design
• 5+ years’ technical contact centre experience deploying contact centre solutions into customer environments.
• Experience with Genesys Cloud and Twilio Flex (required)
• Experience with Freshworks, Zendesk, Amazon Connect and Microsoft Dynamics (preferred)
• Experience with other contact centre technology vendors (NICE, Avaya, Cisco) (desired)
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions.
• Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage time and effectively prioritise numerous projects at one time.
• A desire to go the extra mile to ensure successful and on-time project delivery and delighted customers.
