$57,500 - $70,000pa

Inspiring opportunities for passionate Early Childhood Educators who want to make a positive impact in children’s lives and embed themselves in the multicultural melting pot of our Katherine community in the Northern Territory.

We aim to continuously surpass the Children’s Services Award in order to better remunerate educators for their work. Currently we pay above the Children’s Services Award.

About the opportunity:

We have several unique career opportunities available in Katherine for Certificate III and Diploma qualified Educators (Childcare Workers) at our Little Mangoes Early Learning Centre's.

This is a unique opportunity to become immersed in a culturally diverse environment and embed yourself in a deeper understanding of First Nations culture. You will get to support the growth and development of young people by embedding multicultural learning experiences into the centre's educational programs.

Educational & Training support:

Furthermore, we have partnered with Karen Sheldon Training and can offer Certifcate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care with qualifications fully funded for eligible candidates through GTNT Group.

About you:

You are a Certificate III or Diploma qualified Educator (Childcare Worker). You can also be working towards these qualifications.

We are looking for a passionate and inspired Early Childhood Educators with experience in the early years sector that possesses the following attributes and abilities:

Provide a dynamic, supportive, caring, and safe environment for all children, staff, and caregivers.

The Y (YMCA) of the Northern Territory is a non-for profit organisation providing high quality early childhood education, health and youth-related community services in the NT.

Our commitment to safeguarding children:

The Y NT (YMCA of the Northern Territory), including its Boards of Directors, are committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in accordance with our Safeguarding Children and Young People framework. The Y NT requires that all applicants undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

A national criminal history check.
An international criminal history check where applicants have worked overseas.
Holding or obtaining a Working with Children Clearance/ equivalent in accordance with state/ territory laws.
Two reference checks.
Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework, which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction and a commitment to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout their engagement with the Y NT.
