Your new role:
The data and systems analyst will be managing the integrity of the council's core business data repositories, developing, and managing operational reporting, data design and data integration.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for:
Requirement gathering on subjects, such as converting legacy reports to BI solutions
Data translation
ETL
Data Warehouse development
Assisting in architectural solution design
Data modelling
Acting as a technical lead on data and analytics projects, with final approval for solutions after consulting with the business, vendors, and other stakeholders
Project delivery management, change management, data governance
Developing strategy around new, innovative products within data & analytics
Data governance
What you'll need to succeed:
Extensive experience (5+ years) within data and analytics
Experience working within, or knowledge of, local government applications architecture (such as TechnologyOne)
Minimum of five years' experience in business intelligence (Power BI)
Microsoft Azure skills (Databricks, Data Lake, Synapse)
Microsoft Power Platform expertise (Power Automate, Power Apps & Power Pages)
ETL expertise (Azure Data Factory)
Very strong communication skills, with project and stakeholder management experience
SQL and Python skills
Eligibility and willingness to participate in a NSW police check
