We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef / Cook to join our team at Auski Roadhouse. Auski Roadhouse is a welcoming and busy roadhouse located in the heart of Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high standards and managing kitchen resources. This role demands flexibility, as significant overtime will be required to meet the needs of our bustling roadhouse.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a diverse range of meals, ensuring high quality and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and development.
• Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and stock control.
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
• Cater to special dietary requirements and preferences of guests.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum Cert 4 Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Minimum At least two years of experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle high-volume service.
• Flexibility to work significant overtime as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
