Could you be our next Director of Safety, Security & Wellbeing for ANZ?
You will be a proactive strategic leader who always has their finger on the pulse of workplace safety legislation and standards to maintain. As a key driver in running great restaurants, you will provide workplace safety, security, wellbeing, and injury management expertise with the support of your team. You will partner closely with our Restaurants to support a safe workplace and continually reduce workplace incidents. This role is an exciting opportunity for an established workplace safety professional to take on a dynamic leadership role reporting into our Chief Restaurant Officer.
What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
- Provide strategic workplace safety expertise to support corporate departments, restaurants, licensees, and suppliers.
- Review high-level critical incident investigations and provide recommendations to support incident outcomes and system wide solutions. You will be a go to contact for Senior Leadership members and Licensees on critical Safety matters.
- Identify workplace safety risks and continually partner with the business to evolve risk management strategies.
- Direct the Safety department’s key strategic activities and provide guidance to support the achievement of these initiatives.
- Oversee WHS/OHS performance reports and WHS/OHS audit programs.
- Review workplace safety policies and procedures, training materials and tools to ensure compliance and currency.
- Represent workplace safety and the organisation at senior forums internally and externally.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders when making changes to workplace safety systems and process in accordance with McDonald’s policy.
- Champion cross functional teams to navigate workplace safety initiates where relevant.
- Proactively review and provide recommendations to the business on workplace safety legislation, relevant standards, codes and industry practices.
