About the Job
The Rest Investments Team is undergoing significant transformation as we pursue our goal to be the leading Investment Team in the Australian superannuation industry with a strong member focus and superior investment performance
This is an exciting role providing specialist support as we continue to implement new technology platforms and applications to support us in achieving our goal. The Application Support Specialist will support the business using a suite of Investment-specific applications such as Charles River, FactSet, Bloomberg, Alpha Data Platform among others.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
Working within an existing team, and the wider business, the Application Support Specialist, will provide specialist application support within Rest Investment Team, with a priority focus on supporting investments applications with primary focus on Alpha platform Charles River, Alpha Data Platform and other applications in our grown ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and functionality of our investment technology platforms, and involves providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various internal and external teams.
Specialist Application Support
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with relevant vendors. Notably Charles River and State Street.
Support and maintain investments applications throughout the lifecycle including Charles River, Alpha Data Platform, FactSet, Bloomberg, iLevel and other investments platforms in the ecosystem.
Providing technical support and day to day management and resolution of all business incidents and requests, in line with agreed SLAs and processes.
Coordinating activities with external vendors and internal stakeholders in a professional manner to ensure high level of customer satisfaction
Anticipate and address potential issues before they become a problem including escalating unresolved issues and formulating a plan to address keeping all stakeholders informed
Work with the broader team to ensure application issues/requests are fulfilled including applications security enhancements
Incident Management
Manage and prioritize incidents, working to minimize system downtime and ensure rapid resolution of critical issues.
Develop and implement incident response procedures to enhance system stability.
Support the testing and quality assurance activities for system changes, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and adherence to business requirements.
Support the rollout and adoption of new investment systems and functionalities, including user training and change management activities.
Assist in data analysis and reporting tasks related to investment systems, providing insights to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
Contribute to Application Services documentation including user guides, technical documentation and reporting.
Implement and manage deployment of changes to all business applications and services including developing, writing and/or maintaining technical documentation and training for supported solutions
Create test scripts and undertake Release Verification Testing for all business solutions upgrades/deployments to ensure systems reliability and minimal business disruptions and report performance remediation activities for all business solutions to stakeholders as required
