We are NT's leading glazing and aluminium service provider. We are now hiring skilled Metal Fabricator with positive work attitude on a full-time basis.
Metal Fabricator
Cut, shape, join and finish aluminium to make, maintain or repair commercial panels,frames, windows, etc. Install panels and framing to external buildings including high rise structures.
Responsibilities and duties:
• Examine drawings or specifications to determine job, material and equipment requirements.
• Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin or tap to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies
• Set up and operate hand and machine tools, and welding equipment.
• Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting.
• Finish products by cleaning, polishing, filing and/or by applying protective or decorative coatings.
• Solve fabrication and installation issues that arise in the course of a job.
• Install panels and framing to external buildings
• As appropriate, utilize fixing methods such as dyna-bolting, chem-setting, epoxy grout fixing. etc.
Metal Fabricators/Welders Requirements :
• No qualification required if applicants have over 3 years relevant experience or 1 year Australian experience. If no experience, then minimum AQF Certificate III qualification is required.
• Demonstrated skills and knowledge of aluminium and/or other metal fabrication methods and techniques
• Ability to work as part of a team and provide appropriate on-the-job training experience.
• Able to take instructions from supervisor and follow through as required.
• Handover appropriate report upon completion of works. Be self-motivated and reliable.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• A high level of attention to detail.
• High level in measuring and foreseeing potential issues on site
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Good communication skills.
• Professional appearance
• Ability to deal with stressful situations
• Able to order materials required for job execution. Able to negotiate material prices to deliver profitable projects.
• Able to work as part of a team and lead the team to required outcome in timing and quality.
• Must be able to purge weld stainless steel pipe and tube in accordance with AS1554.
