Pheonex Pty Ltd is an energetic materials company researching, field testing and developing technology to produce energetic materials for the mining quarrying and civil blasting operations.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an Accountant/ Accounts Officer to join our team located at our Yarloop manufacturing facility.
You will perform tasks related to managing and reporting of financial information, as support of Pheonex’s business development, manufacturing and sales operations, to ensure compliance, payment for services and products, payroll and taxation requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:
• Bank accounts reconciliation.
• Responsible for the preparation and submission of Business Activity Statements
• Liaising with company accountants on EOFY reporting and tax;
• Monthly profit and loss reporting to the management team;
• Analyzing a company’s income and expenses
• Invoicing of customers;
• Seeking pricing as requested by the operations and management team;
• Accounts payable payments and inquiries.
• Preparing financial reports and statements for management
• Creating budgets
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements
• Ensure company insurances are current and renewed as required
• Payroll and reconciliation of superannuation payments and other employee related matters.
• Working closely with operations and management team perform other duties as required


Qualifications and Work Experience:
• Degree in Accounting
• Proven experience working as an Accountant / Accounts officer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experienced with MYOB accounting package, including payroll;
• Experienced with Microsoft suite of software;
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment and knowledge of dangerous goods administration would be advantageous.
