Chef required for a well-established Australian business “CONTENTIOUS CHARACTER” located at Building 4, 1 Dairy Road, Fyshwick ACT 2609.
Duties include:
-Preparing various food items from the restaurant’s menu that includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood dishes.
-Monitor the kitchen staff during the Pre-cooking preparations such as washing, trimming, carving, chopping, peeling, cutting, stirring, mixing, mincing, grilling, and boiling foods such as various meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.
-Supervise the kitchen staff during all stages of food preparation.
-Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
-Plan staff rosters and train new staff
-Maintaining the standards of kitchen sanitation and enforcing hygiene regulations to all kitchen staff.
In Return for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package ($73,200 plus Super) and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Diploma of Hospitality) and 2 years of Italian/Korean/Modern Australian culinary experience will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, late shifts & public holidays).
