Our client, SS Pacific Pty Ltd, trading as Mildura Brewery and Pub, is seeking a professional Chef to organise, plan, create the menu, and prepare meals for customers.
Located at 20-22 Langtree Avenue, Mildura, Victoria 3500, Mildura Brewery and Pub offers a re-imagined pub menu. Patrons can dine inside with a view of the brewing tanks and the impressive Chicago-style bar, or they can choose outdoor seating to enjoy the vibrant street ambience. Takeaway and delivery options are also available.
What you will be doing:
• Creating and managing budgets for labour and food, including meal preparation and ordering supplies.
• Monitoring food quality at every stage of preparation and presentation.
• Addressing food preparation concerns with managers, dietitians, kitchen, and service staff.
• Instructing and mentoring staff on cooking techniques and methods.
• Conducting food preparation and cooking.
• Explaining and ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations.
• Potentially selecting and training staff members.
• Developing innovative menu items and seasonal specials.
• Collaborating with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate pricing agreements.
Qualifications:
• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or above.
• At least two (2) years of experience as a Professional Chef.
Renumeration:
$70,000 to $80,000 per annum
