Full-Time permanent PHARMACIST
Northpharm Pty Ltd are seeking passionate, enthusiastic and customer-focused Pharmacists to join our pharmacy team in Darwin.
Short fixed and permanent long-term positions are available.
As part of the pharmacy team and in collaboration with other health professionals, you will provide a clinical pharmacy service, including the supply of medicines to urban, rural and remote sites.
These positions involve dispensing, counselling and the provision of dose administration aids to clients of the health service. The pharmacist also acts as a consultant to medical, nursing and allied health staff.

Some roles and responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
• Supply medicines, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, in accordance with the Pharmacy Board of Australia and National Health Act regulations and guidelines. This includes, but is not limited to Dispensing prescription medicines (including medicine counselling to patients), Supplying Pharmacist Only Medicines, Supervising and assisting with supply of Pharmacy Medicines, unscheduled medicines and health products
• Patient counseling on drug incompatibility, contra-indications, including any potential side effects and how to use medications effectively.
• Maintain dispensary stock, including stock rotation, ordering and expiry-date checking.
• Monitoring and coordinating the work of the dispensary staff. Be available to other staff members, where requested, to assist in customer service.
• Provide professional pharmacy services, including, but not limited to dose administration aids, staged supply, opioid substitution therapy, monitoring and case detection services, disease state management services, health promotion, home medicine review, medicine adherence service
• Work in conjunction with external healthcare providers ensuring comprehensive patient care is achieved.
• Monitor patient healthcare
Requirements:
• Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Registration essential
• A sensitive and culturally safe ability to interact with Aboriginal people
• An ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary health care team
• Exceptional communication skills with customers and colleagues
