Job Title: Disabilities Services Officer

Salary: $74K to $82K plus super

Duties/Tasks
• Directing customers to organizations that offer more assistance.
• Communicating about local concerns with community organizations, welfare organizations, governmental organizations, and commercial companies while raising awareness of available resources and services.
• Monitor and report on the care needs and progress of participants.
• Plan, develop and implement educational, training and support programs as needed.
• Interview clients and assess the nature and extent of their difficulties.
• Monitor and report on the progress of clients, maintain client records, write notes and routine reports.
• Work cooperatively and maintain effective communication in a manner appropriate to participant needs.

Skills/experience
• Hold a Diploma/ Advanced Diploma and/or Bachelor in a related discipline or Certificates
• Minimum of 2 years industry experience
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Experience meeting deadlines, and working within a fast-paced environment
• Proactive and hands-on approach, including the ability to work under limited supervision.
• Experience with scheduling, client induction processes, care plan development, NDIS compliance requirements, staff recruitment and human resource management tasks.
• Holding a Valid a First AID and CPR Certificate
• NDIS Working with Children Check
• NDIS Working Screening Check
• Valid Police Check
