Position Overview: As a Baker at Canterbury Lebanese
Bread, you will play a key role in our production team, focusing on the creation of authentic Lebanese bread. We are looking for a skilled individual with a passion for preserving traditional recipes and delivering exceptional baked goods.
DUTIES
• Expertly prepare dough according to traditional Lebanese recipes.
• Operate baking equipment, ensuring precise temperature and timing for optimal results.
• Implement stringent quality control measures to maintain the authenticity and consistency of our products.
• Collaborate with the team to innovate and refine traditional recipes while preserving the essence of Lebanese bread.
• Maintain a clean and organized baking environment, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Dough Preparation: Mix and prepare dough according to traditional Lebanese recipes, ensuring the correct proportions of ingredients for the desired texture and flavour.
2. Baking: Operate baking equipment, including ovens and specialized Lebanese bread ovens if applicable, to bake bread to perfection, considering factors such as temperature and baking time.
3. Quality Control: Implement stringent quality control measures to maintain the authenticity and consistency of Lebanese bread, ensuring that each batch meets established standards. Recipe Innovation: Collaborate with the culinary team to innovate and refine traditional recipes, introducing new flavors or variations while preserving the essence of authentic Lebanese bread.
4. Maintaining Cleanliness: Uphold strict hygiene and sanitation standards in the bakery, including regular cleaning of equipment, work surfaces, and utensils to ensure a safe and clean baking environment.
5. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of baking
Ingredients, ensuring an adequate supply of key components such as flour, yeast, and other essential items.
6. Adherence to Health and Safety Regulations: Comply with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and storage of ingredients, as well as the use of safety equipment to prevent accidents in the workplace.

• Full-time availability, including weekends if required.
