Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced skilled Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience and will work closely with the head chef to assist in the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, including grill, sauté, or fryers.
Assist with the preparation and execution of menu items
Ensure the highest quality and consistency of food products
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stovetops, and knives
Assist in inventory management and control of food, supplies, and equipment
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
Adhere to established kitchen policies and procedures
Participate in menu planning and development
Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Requirements:
Previous experience as a chef in a restaurant
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and ingredients
In-depth knowledge of specific section of the kitchen, including techniques, ingredients, and equipment
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Flexibility to work in different areas of the kitchen as needed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
