We are currently seeking a professional Cook to join our growing Kitchen team.
About the Role itself:
• Prepare, arrange, and serve all food according to the set standards
• Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
• Preparing and cooking food
• Seasoning food during cooking
• Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
• Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
• May plan menus and estimate food requirements
• May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
• Preparing food as required, maintain cleanliness and hygiene of section and maintain a high standard of service.
• Anticipate and attend to the guest's needs and desires immediately.
• Always maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Comply with the hotel's operational policies & procedures.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety guidelines (OH&S)
We are expecting that:
• You have at least a relevant cert III qualification and above, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in hospitality service related
• Highly organized with excellent administrative skills
• Be able to work under pressure
You are looking at the base salary ranged between A$70000 – A$75000, plus superannuation and other allowances if permitted in full-time basis, 38 hours per week. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
