Role Available: DEAN OF SECONDARY OPERATIONS (PoR 3)
CONTRACT: PERMANENT FULL TIME (August 2024 or earlier)

Position Overview:
They are seeking a dedicated DEAN OF SECONDARY OPERATIONS to join their team. The successful candidate will uphold the school's Christian values and ethos, demonstrating a commitment to their faith and mission. The purpose of this role is to coordinate the administrative and organisational function driving the efficient and effective operation of the Secondary School. The Dean of Secondary Operations is actively involved in the day-to-day operations, however the role extends to the strategic operations and establishing processes, procedures and workflow in the Secondary School.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a steadfast commitment to a Christian lifestyle, embodying the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Align with the Purpose and Purpose Statements of our institution, actively contributing to our mission.
Set an example to students, staff and parents/carers in matters of faith and conduct.
Manage casual coverage and the required adjustments to the daily Secondary School program
Maintain an accurate record of teaching and corporate staff absences
Liaise with the Head of Development to support casual teachers by being their Accreditation Supervisor or facilitating Heads of Faculty to fulfil this responsibility.
Maintain the Secondary Calendar on a daily basis and also in the context of the broader college calendar
NAPLAN for Year 7 and 9 - liaise with the Executive Secretary as the main contact, prepare student devices, draft and communicate timetables
Manage all Year 9-12 examinations
Organisation and Rollout of NESA's HSC Minimum Standards Testing
Attend meetings of the Secondary Leadership Team
Oversee and monitor all Secondary School risk assessments#Plan and draft the capital and operating budget components of the Secondary budget in collaboration with the Deputy Principal Secondary and the Business Manager
Pastoral care and supervision of the Secondary Administrative Assistant
Event management - manage and oversee
