Located at 251 High Street, Thomastown, Victoria 3074, India at Q is currently searching for a skilled Chef who is interested in joining their team on a full-time basis.
The annual salary for the role will be $70,000 to $75,000 plus superannuation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• A Diploma of Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a similar setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Create menus that cater to diverse guest preferences while managing food and labour costs to maintain profitability.
• Develop innovative recipes and cooking methods to enhance the menu offerings and stay ahead of culinary trends.
• Collaborate with management, dietitians, and front-of-house staff to address food preparation issues and concerns.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling, storage, and disposal practices.
• Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimise waste and optimise supply chain logistics.
• Teach and guide kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and procedures to ensure high-quality dishes.
• Recruit, train, and mentor new kitchen staff to ensure they meet the high standards of the establishment.
• Enforce rigorous hygiene standards to protect the health and well-being of guests and staff.
• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment, supplies, and workstations to ensure they are functioning optimally.
