Hillwood Farm Services Pty Ltd require farm labourer’s / pickers to start shortly for ongoing work.
You will be required to complete tasks such as picking, pruning, bud removal, weeding and trellising work. There may also be some general farm work such as planting and Irrigation work. Additional work may also be available on other farms within a 50km radius.
General farm work will usually be paid on an hourly basis. You will be working an average of 38hrs a week, Employment is under the Horticulture Award. Job Classification under award level 1 and hourly rate is $23.46. There are some tasks (usually picking) that may be performed under piecework agreements. A competent piece rate worker rate starts at $26.96 per hour.
Points to note:
Hours during harvest can be long, and rostered work often includes weekends. You will need to ensure that you are available to work all hours that are rostered to you.
You will need to have your own, reliable form of transport.
The exact duration of the working days cannot be predicted. As they are dictated by factors such as the weather or fruit quality available on the day.
